Windows 7 has been designed to be faster than other operating systems. Windows 7 is much faster than Windows Vista, and some of us are still not pleased with it at all. Even if Windows can’t be made to run faster, it can receive a little boost. This will allow it to work at its maximum capacity and can be enjoyed by all who have it on their PCs. Listed below are a few techniques.
Requirements
1GHz processor
16GB disk space available
DVD – R/W drive
1GB memory
Aero comes with graphic cards as well and can provide you with a whole new experience to Windows.
Speeding Windows 7 Up
Speed Up Boot Speed
Press Win + R or simply click run from the start menu. Type msconfig in the box and when you have hit enter. There will be a tab that says boot and you will click it. Then there will be a box that says Time Out. When this box appears, this means that your system is waiting for an operating system to be chosen to boot up.
The value of 0 can be used if you are just going to use one operating system. However, if you are going to be using more than one system, you need to configure the value to 3. When this step is done click on the Advanced Options option and when the window appears, make sure that the box Number of Processors is checked. From the drop down menu click on the maximum number of processors. This may be 2 or more. When you are done, click OK. Click Apply to make sure the settings are saved.
Disable Aero Theme on Windows 7
In order to do this, right click on your desktop and click Personalize. Click on the Window Color tab. Uncheck the box that says Enable Transparency. Next, click on Open Classic appearance. A window will then open and from there choose a basic theme or a classic theme.
Disabling the Aero theme can help speed things up a bit.
